Klara Svensson (14-0, 5 KOs) will defend her interim WBC Female World Light Welterweight title against Lucia Morelli (18-4, 8 KOs) on November 29 at the Falconer Hall at the Radisson Blu in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Svensson claimed the interim WBC title with a career best performance against Marie Riederer in September. The Swedish Princess faces a tough test when she returns to take on the former lightweight world champion and welterweight world title challenger Morelli.

‘’Lucia is a big name in Europe. She has a good style and I’m sure it will make for a very exciting fight,’’ said the 27 year-old from Malmo. ‘’In my last fight I proved I belong at the very highest level. I’m ready to pick up where I left off. Lucia is a talented fighter but for me she is just the next step. She is standing in my way. On November 29, I will defend my title and continue my journey to the top.’’

‘’Klara looks more like a model than a boxer,’’ said Morelli. ‘’I’ve not seen or heard much about her but as a fellow fighter she has my respect. However, I’m not coming to Copenhagen to lose. I’ve fought the very best fighters out there and I know what it takes to compete at the highest level. I have the skill and the experience to cause an upset on November 29!’’

‘’This will be another good test for Klara,’’ said promoter Nisse Sauerland. ‘’Morelli is an experienced fighter and cannot be underestimated. But I believe Klara will be ready for the challenge. She can send a clear message to everyone in the light welterweight division by beating Morelli in Copenhagen.’’

Pound-for-pound queen Cecilia Brækhus will also be in action at the Falconer Hall on November 29. The Norwegian star will defend her WBC Female World Welterweight title against Jennifer Retzke. Full undercard details featuring top Swedish, Danish and Norwegian boxing talents will be announced shortly. Tickets are on sale now and available via http://www.billetnet.dk.
