Impact Network brings Big Names and sold out crowd to Delray
The Impact Network filmed it’s new show, titled ‘The Undercard’ this past Thursday in Delray Beach, Florida. The show may feature fights and back stories of tomorrow biggest stars, but many current and former stars were in attendance for the premiere show.
IBF ranked top heavyweight contender Michael Hunter enjoyed the night ringside and stepped in the ring and provided his support for the only 100% black owned network in sports today.
Former undisputed champion Cory Spinks was also at the show and was in the ring for the ceremonial 10 count for the recent passing of his father Leon Spinks who he stated he loved beyond life itself.
Super welterweight contender Erickson Lubin and former top ranked contender BJ Flores, who is the trainer of superstar Jake Paul were also in the building along with heavyweight contender Jameel McCline who was calling the action as part of the commentary team.
In the music world, hip hop Legend Eric B from the superstar duo Eric B and Rakim was also in the house for the action packed card that was headlined by Steve Geffrard’s unanimous decision victory over Denis Grachev.
The new series, which debuts on Saturday, March 13th, is an Impact original series created by super producer Steven Marcano who has also created one of boxing biggest shows, ‘Knockout’ and also created ‘Stars and Champions’. If the opening episode proves anything, it’s that Impact is here to stay and ‘The Undercard” is an over achiever. The series is directed by Rolando Nichols and Royal Jackson.
Impact is in over 90 million homes in the United States and is the only truly 100% black owned network in the country which was launched 10 years ago by Bishop Wayne T Jackson.
