Exciting New additions to Knockout Season 3
The hit boxing reality show Knockout is set to return for a third season. At the conclusion of season two, the Knockout braintrust vowed to come back with an even bigger and better third installment.
Season one and two featured boxing legends such as Roy Jones Jr., Shane Mosley, and current stars like Jessie Vargas, Nonito Donaire, Shawn Porter and Robert Guerrero along with household names among boxing fans like Floyd Mayweather Sr., Zab Judah and Ricardo Mayorga.
2016’s season looks even stronger with emmy-nominated director John Herzfeld, who directed Don King: Only in America for HBO, rumored to be directing the new season.
While the first two seasons were successful, the problem was the ability of the show to reach the masses when it was available in only 30 million homes which is approximately 28% of the current market. That was the reach of Nuvo for the first two seasons. Now that Nuvo has acquired Fuse, which in turn has a reach of 73 million homes, Knockout now is available to about two-thirds of the market for distribution which will make it easy to find on the dial and truly makes it a national show.
For both the hardcore and casual fan the show will finally be readily available and other major changes have been made as well. Besides having an award winning director, casting of all celebrities will no longer be handled in house by the production staff and will now be handled by the Paradigm Talent Agency which is one of the premiere and best agencies in Hollywood.
Filming is set to begin in June with the season premiere occurring on a date to be determined in September. For the first time the series will be shot in multiple locations and there also will be a soundtrack for the upocoming season.
There also has been discussion of a Knockout league and if this comes to fruition the league will operate both nationally and internationally. Knockout has always shined in the space of boxing reality television and has been well received, well respected and has showcased some of the best upcoming talent in the real of boxing.
The Knockout team has also expanded it’s horizons by entering the basketball world with the critically acclaimed series Ball Out. Be on the look out for the announcement of the date of the season premiere soon.
