CARIBE PROMOTIONS & VERSAILLES POST OPEN WORKOUT GUILLERMO RIGONDEAUX

Caribe Promotions and  Versailles Cuban Restaurant  held court with media and  fans to showcase 2X Cuban Olympic Gold Medalist , WBA,WBO and The Ring Magazine  Pound 4 Pound King Jr. Featherweight,  the undisputed and undefeated  Super World Champion Guillermo “El Chacal” Rigondeaux  at an outdoor open workout . Versailles Restaurant (commonly referred to as simply Versailles), cafeteria, restaurant, and bakery, is a landmark eating establishment located on Calle Ocho (8th St) in Little Havana, Miami. Versailles is a popular place for Cuban food and social gatherings and for decades, Versailles has been also ground zero for the Cuban-American exile community in South Florida. The restaurant has been a gathering point for anti-Castro protesters and the press covering those events.

 Today was the first ever open work out at the Versailles in over forty three years since the establishment open back in 1971 by Mr. Felipe Valls, Sr. and his family. A few hundred boxing aficionados where present and where given autographed posters and t-shirts by the Champion. The event was in advance of Rigondeaux’  title bout with Hisashi Amagasa, scheduled for December 31^st in Osaka, Japan. At the workout to help publicize the fight was promoter Boris Arencibia, founder and President of Caribe Promotions along with Vice President Louis Fonseca. Rigondeaux and Arencibia answered questions and Rigondeaux conducted a light workout with head trainer Jorge Rubio and Team Rigondeaux. Caribe Promotions and Team Rigondeaux also presented Mr. Felipe Valls Jr and his family an official Team Rigondeaux corner jacket in appreciation for what their family has done in giving back to the latin and Cuban community.
