“BOXEO TELEMUNDO FORD” PRESENTS A BATTLE OF UNDEFEATED BOXERS THIS FRIDAY
MIAMI – October 1 , 2013- “Boxeo Telemundo Ford” presents a battle of undefeated boxers this Friday, October 4th at 11:35PM/10:35C. Tampa’s own Daniel Lozano puts his unbeaten career record on the line against unbeaten California native Matthew Villanueva. Rene Giraldo and Jessi Losada will be on the call, and Karim Mendiburu will be ringside interacting with fans on social media and interviewing the winner after the bout. Boxing fans can also visit Deportestelemundo.com on the web and on their mobile devices to watch the weigh-in and see exclusive behind the scenes footage. They can also keep up with the fight live following @TelemundoSports on Twitter for round-by-round scoring and up to the minute updates.
Villanueva (10-0-1, 8 KOs), is no stranger to fighting against opponents in their own hometowns such as Lozano on “Boxeo Telemundo Ford”, having done exactly that in the Season 2 opener on June 21 versus Julian Rivera in Mexico City. As his record shows, the Puerto Rican-American boxer prevailed over Rivera in a unanimous decision to bolster his undefeated streak. Villanueva also obtained a win in his only other fight this year against Manuel Galaviz with a second round knockout in February.
Lozano (11-0, 8 KO) is unbeaten, untied and determined to showcase his potential in front of his hometown crowd. Lozano is a Tampa resident, while both of his parents are Mexican-American. Lozano has not fought yet in 2013, but when he does, he doesn’t waste much time. Seven of his eight knockouts have come in the first three rounds.
