Another solid “Knockout Night at the D” card announced for Nov. 18 in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS (November 10, 2016) – Another solid top-to-bottom “Knockout Night at the D card has been announced for Friday night, November 18, airing (9 p.m. PT / 12 a.m. ET) on CBS Sports Network live from inside the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center tent.
FloBoxing.tv will live stream the Nov. 18th “Knockout Night at the D” undercard worldwide, starting at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET), in addition to three main card bouts – excluding North America – beginning at 9 p.m. PT / 12 a.m. ET).
The “Knockout Night at the D” series, presented by the D Las Vegasand Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, is promoted by Roy Jones Jr. (RJJ) Boxing Promotions.
Hall of Fame announcers Jim “J.R.” Ross and Al Bernstein will call the action from ringside, along with roving reporter Sean Wheelock, on CBS Sports Network. Known for introducing the top stars of professional wrestling to the ring for 20 years, Justin Roberts will join the legendary CBS Sports Network broadcast team in Las Vegas for the Nov. 18 show to enhance the entrances of the “Knockout Night at the D” boxing stars of tomorrow.
North American Boxing Association (NABA) United States lightweight champion Reynaldo “El Trampolin” Blanco (13-2, 7 KOs) defends his title in the 10-round main event against Demond “Body Shot” Brock (12-3-1, 4 KOs), in the 10-round main event.
“Let it be clear,” Blanco said. “November 18th in Las Vegas, the world and my opponent will witness the fury of the Dominican from Matancita, Reynaldo Blanco, who is here to conquer the lightweight division. Let the war begin!”
In the 8-round co-feature, Puerto Rican KO artist and Daniel “El Duro” Rosario Cruz (11-1, 10 KOs), a former World Boxing Organization (WBO) Latino junior middleweight champion, takes on Mexican upset specialist Norberto Gonzalez (22-8, 13 KOs).
The television opens with undefeated Las Vegas junior lightweight prospect Randy Moreno (6-0, 5 KOs) in his first scheduled 6-round bout against Mexican veteran Daniel Perales (7-5-1, 4 KOs)
Keeping with its goal to showcase young talent based in Las Vegas, junior flyweight Marina “Rocky” Ramirez (2-0), fighting out of Idaho, meets the Bronx’ Natalie Gonzalez (2-0), while pro-debuting cruiserweight Jason Beauchamp faces Puerto Rican Kenny Cruz-Carrasquillo (0-2-1), in a pair of 4-round bouts.
Also, fighting on the undercard in a 4-rounder is Roy Jones, Jr. protégé Shady Gamhour, a Swede fighting out of Pensacola, Florida, versus David De La Cruz, of Los Angeles, in a fight between pro-debuting middleweights. Pennsylvania junior featherweight Juan Sanchez (1-0, 1 KOs) faces Javier Cepeda (0-2), of Puerto Rico.
