Adonis Stevenson-the new idol
Adonis Stevenson has reached the top thanks to his KO power.
It all really began last June, when Stevenson shocked the boxing world by defeating Chad Dawson by KO in less than one round, to conquer the WBC Lt. Heavyweight title.
That night Adonis not only conquered the world title but also the admiration and respect from of fight fans. He also proved that age is not a disadvantage. He turned professional aged twenty nine.
Adonis holds a record of 22 wins, 19 KO’s and 1 loss and is the new star of the division, that once ruled by great boxing legends like Bob Foster, Dick Tiger and more recently Roy Jones Jr, Michael Spinks and Bernard Hopkins.
Adonis has a lot of power in his fists as he has defeated his last 9 rivals by KO. He stresses that he has not always been this powerful, but he significantly improved thanks to the late great Emanuel Steward and his current trainer Javan “Sugar” Hill.
Adonis is aware of the great responsibility he now has as WBC champion but he’s happy with it and is willing to face the best of the very best like current WBC silver champion Tony Bellew, who he’ll fight this Saturday.
