STADE PIERRE MAUROY IN LILLE, FRANCE TO HOST GLORY 22 ON JUNE 5
New York, NY – GLORY, the world’s premier kickboxing league, today announced the date and location for GLORY 22. Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille, France hosts a Heavyweight World Championship fight and one-night, four-man Lightweight Contender Tournament on Friday, June 5.
GLORY Heavyweight World Champion Rico Verhoeven (45-10, 11 KOs) headlines GLORY 22, defending his title against an opponent to be announced. Verhoeven is riding a seven-fight win streak in GLORY, with the last victory coming via TKO over Errol Zimmerman at GLORY 19 in February.
Additional bouts for GLORY 22, including the participants in GLORY’s one-night, four-man Lightweight Contender Tournament, will be announced at gloryworldseries.com.
Tickets for GLORY 22 will be available in early May at stade-pierre-mauroy.com and ticketmaster.com.
The organization’s next event, GLORY 21, takes place on Friday, May 8 and airs live on Spike TV at 11/10c from Valley View Casino Center in San Diego. GLORY 21 is headlined by Middleweight Champion Artem “The Lion” Levin (50-4-1, 33 KOs) of Russia defending his belt against Canadian muay thai world champion Simon “Bad Bwoy” Marcus (42-2-1, 24 KOs).
