One of the biggest sports weekends of the year will see the return of one of the biggest names in mixed martial arts, as UFC® legend and former middleweight champion Anderson Silva makes his return to the Octagon® to face one of the most dangerous strikers in the sport, former STRIKEFORCE® welterweight champion Nick Diaz, on Saturday, Jan. 31 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Widely considered the greatest mixed martial artist in history, Silva (33-6, fighting out of Curitiba, Brazil), will make his return after a devastating leg injury that sidelined him for more than a year. In his way will be the enigmatic Stockton bad boy Diaz (27-9-1, fighting out of Stockton, Calif.), who has been asking for a showdown with the “The Spider” for years. This 185-pound superfight is sure to be one of the best fights of 2015.
