JRAM at the scales: Alvarado/Rios 3 from Denver, CO
Denver, Co – Weights are in and we have a trilogy as Denver’s own “Mile High” Mike Alvarado and “Bam Bam” Brandon Rios hit the scales in front of a packed house. Former champion Mike Alvarado weighed in at 146.50 and Rios 146.75. While both fighters harness any bad blood, they both know the magnitude of this fight and assured the fans that once they enter the squared circle it is all business. “This fight was destined to happen, I am excited for this trilogy. The winner is going to go onto bigger and better things. My Broncos lost, so this right here is the real Superbowl. We are going one on one and were going to settle the score.” stated Alvarado.
Rios was on the same page saying “We’re friends now, but in the ring we want to kill each other. This fight is going to be better. It is going to be one helluva fight”.
The first two fights were FOTY (Fight of the Year) type fights, flashback to Gatti-Ward. Both fighters looked in great shape and I expect this fight to live up to all expectations. My prediction for the fight, well like Clubber Lang said in Rocky III “PAIN”.
JRAM Prediction: I see this fight playing out similar to the first, both fighters will engage in the center of the ring. Look for Rios to overwhelm Alvarado late in the fight and take a late round stoppage. (TKO RD 10).
