Diego Cruz / Next boxing idol?

Mexico’s Diego Cruz, made it clear that he is considered one of the best fighters of the moment by knocking out in seven rounds Miguel “Goku” Vazquez (the brother of IBF Champion, Jose Miguel “TITERE” Vazquez), last saturday in Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo, Mexico.

In what proved to be a great battle, both fighters came out to exchange the best of their strokes, but Diego sent Vazquez to the canvas with a powerful hook to the liver, in the third round of a fight scheduled to eight in the welterweight division.

The end came at 27 seconds of the seventh round, when Cruz connect a tremendous left overhand to the face of Vazquez, who inevitably went to the canvas and the referee declared him out of combat.
