“BOXEO TELEMUNDO” ENDS ITS SUMMER SEASON FINALE THIS FRIDAY AT 11:35PM/10:35C
MIAMI – JULY 10, 2013- Boxeo Telemundo’s summer season comes to a close this Friday, July 12 from Tampa’s A La Carte Event Pavilion at 11:35PM/10:35C as local boxer Charlie “The Beast” Serrano faces off against Mexico’s own Aalan “The Bomber” Martínez with the WBO Latin Featherweight Title on the line. Rene Giraldo, Jessi Losada and Karim Mendiburu will be calling the action and will also be interacting with fans on social media throughout the fight.
Martínez already knows what it’s like to be under the “Boxeo Telemundo” spotlight, since he was part of one of the most memorable fights of Season 1 in a loss against Orlando Cruz on March 15. Martínez will look for redemption as he showcases his 14-2-1 career record with 10 knockouts.
Serrano (15-3-1, 4 KO’s) will have the advantage of fighting with the support of his hometown crowd in his first fight this year. Serrano went 2-1-0 in 2012 and has lost only once in his last 11 bouts, with the only loss coming on March 10 in San Juan, Puerto Rico against Puerto Rico’s own Camilo Pérez. Serrano has never had to go more than eight rounds, so this fight to 12 rounds could be the biggest challenge of his career.
Only one of these two fighters will be crowned champion on “Boxeo Telemundo”, home to the best Latin boxers.
