Along with the explosive main event of junior welterweight Emmanuel “Renegade” Robles (7-0-1, 3KOs) of San Diego putting his perfect record on the line against the dangerous knock out artist Joshua “Superman” Marks (8-4, 8KOs) of El Centro, San Diego’s premier professional boxing promoter Bobby D. Presents will also feature a number of exciting local fighters on Friday, April 19th, as part of the “Champions of Tomorrow” fight card slated for the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Kearny Mesa.

Featured on the card will be the hugely popular David Barragan (4-0-1, 2KOs) of National City who in his San Diego debut earned a unanimous decision over the game Jose Martell in front a large number of his fans.

Despite suffering an early knocked down, the twenty-two year old Barragan, who campaigns at junior middleweight, shook himself off and took over the action landing crisp combinations and forcing the fight on Martell. After the four hard fought rounds, Barragan took the win home. Now Barragan will look to do a repeat but in much more impressive fashion.

In a special attraction super welterweight six rounder, hard hitting Watts, CA, native Brandon “Cannon” Adams (9-0, 5KOs) will make his third appearance in San Diego. In his first, Adams easily outpointed Erin Beach of Oceanside and a year later he impressively stopped the much more experienced Yair Aguiar in two rounds.

In his last fight, Adams, who along with his wife is expecting his first child, traveled even farther south into Tijuana, Mexico, where he did quick work of Edgar “Roca” Bojorquez late last year.

Although getting a late start this year with the April fight his first of the year, Adams is looking to pick up steam throughout the summer and put together a number of wins on route to a state or regional title by the end of 2013 or early 2014. “I’ve been training hard this year and I am ready to go. I don’t care who they put in front of me, nobody is going to stand in my way.” Adams stated confidently.

Also slated on April 19th is all-action Oceanside, CA, junior flyweight Jonathan Quiroz (3-1, 1KO) against Lakeside’s Javier Barragan (2-1, 2KOs). In his last fight against Jesus Sandoval, Quiroz stole the show as he quickly found a home for his over hand right and didn’t stop landing it nearly knocking out Sandoval numerous times.

Sandoval had a chin as big as his heart as he came coming forward in a four round bout that surely deserves a rematch in the near future but first Quiroz must take care of the tough Barragan whose both wins have come by devastating early knock out.

A sure to be fun-filled female super flyweight fight between first timers Aracely Tinoco of Temecula and Lupe Gutierrez of Fallbrook as well as the pro debut of Spring Valley lightweight Jorge Escalante and Jessie White of Los Angeles.

The Four Points by Sheraton is located at 8110 Aero Drive, San Diego.
