BOXNATION WELCOMES BACK GEORGE GROVES THIS SATURDAY NIGHT!
BoxNation (Sky Ch. 437/Virgin Ch. 546) is delighted to welcome Commonwealth Super-Middleweight Champion George Groves back to the Channel Of Champions this Saturday night with LIVE and exclusive coverage in the UK of his fight in Germany.
The unbeaten Hammersmith star takes on Syrian Baker Barakat in an eight-round contest at the GETEC Arena in Magdeburg on the undercard of WBO World Super-Middleweight Champion Arthur Abraham’s title defence and rematch against Robert Stieglitz.
This marks Groves’ fourth appearance on the UK’s number one boxing channel with his stunning KO of Paul Smith; his brutal war against Francisco Sierra in America and the masterclass against former world champion Glen Johnson, all televised live.
Groves joins a stunning action-packed line-up on BoxNation in the coming weeks’ that includes: WBO World Light-Heavyweight Champion Nathan Cleverly’s title defence against Robin Krasniqi; the return of Dereck Chisora; top three pound-for-pound best Segio Martinez defending his WBC World Middleweight title against Brit Martin Murray, and the biggest fight of the year so far between boxing superstar and the number one fighter in the world and WBC World Welterweight Champion Floyd Mayweather Jnr against Robert Guerrero.
BoxNation’s General Manager Jim McMunn said, “I’m delighted that George is back on the channel after a short absence. He is a talented boxer and will always be welcome on BoxNation.”
