The Impact Network is set to be a major player in boxing

A lot of fans and insiders are very curious to see how the new boxing series on The Impact Network will play out.  Here are some of the reasons that the traditional boxing networks and promoters have major competition on their hands.

The network reaches 86 million homes in the United States which is almost as many as FS1 and ESPN have but the difference is that Impact is on the basic cable tier so if you have cable you have Impact which allows fan to watch boxing at no cost to them outside of basic cable.

Impact has entered the same multiple billion dollar space with projected income in the 8 figures range in the first 12 months with the dollars being a combination of ad revenue, sponsorships, site fees, and international right fees. The investment should be completely recouped by second quarter 2020 and will turn a profit shortly thereafter.

The network is still in the process of signing fighters but has already secured the services of former champion  Austin Trout and hard hitting heavyweight Alonzo “Big Zo” Butler. The company has also signed 7 unbeaten fighters and will be working with the 2 sons of the legendary Johnny Tapia.

The key to their success and what is allowing  them to make a major impact is the understanding of cross promotions, branding and marketing and social media which Impact has with Champions and Stars executive producer Steven Marcano. The former executive producer of the hit series Knockout is also the creator of the Impact boxing series.

There is a social media department and PR department in house to push the fighter to social stardom which is proven to make a major impact. A case and point was Logan Paul versus KSI which sold out the Staple Center. Impact not only has plans to make champions but do what most promoters don’t do outside of the ring and that is make stars. Look at the star power of Conor McGregor who has put himslef in the highest grossing boxers list with one fight.

When you combine the reality show and social media presence along with a conventional television presence and major distribution along with the ability by the end of 2020 to have a weekly boxing event a major player is emerging on the market. The company’s  open minded approach is what boxing needs and when you add this all up you the that Impact Boxing should have a bright future in the sport.

Tune in to the first event on February 1st.
