CHAMPIONS FROM THE PAST AND THE PRESENT

As part of the 50th anniversary of the W.B.C., we pay tribute to our world champions- the champions from the past and the ones that dominate the divisions nowadays.

CRUISERWEIGHT DIVISION

Past…Marvin Camel

US boxer, born on December 24th, 1951 in Ronan, Montana. His passion for boxing began at a very early and he made his professional debut on June 25, 1973 against Joe Williamson, who he defeated by KO in the first round at the Civic Center in Butter Montana.

Marvin won the W.B.C. title against Croatian Mate Parlov in a rematch held on March 31, 1990 at the Ceasar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.

His last fight was on June 11, 1990 in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he defeated Eddie Taylor by decision.

He built an impressive record of 45 wins, 21 KO’s 13 losses and 4 draws.

Present… Krzysztof ‘Diablo’ Wlodarczyk

Born on September 1981 in Varsovia, Poland, he made his way into boxing at a very tender age. He made his professional debut when he was barely 19 years old on June 2000 in Elbag, Poland.

He conquered the W.B.C. youth title against Sergey Karanevich by SD on December 13, 2003.

His major opportunity arrived on May 16, 2009 when he fought for the W.B.C. world title against Giacobbe Fragomeni, who he defeated by a very close decision. Krystof holds a record of 47 wins, 33 KO’s and 1 draw.
