Video: Conor McGregor on Dos Anjos withdrawing for their bout: It was obvious it was going to happen
“All you had to do was look at Dos Anjos. Look at him sitting up there on that last one. History repeats itself. He was just a slower, sloppier, bum version of Aldo; mentally weaker, physically slower, sloppier, everything. It was obvious it was going to happen almost. I always tell them, prepare because people pull out on me. “
Conor McGregor talking about Rafael Dos Anjos who pulled out of their UFC 196 main event fight due to a foot injury. Conor was at the final press conference for UFC 196 where he will face late replacement Nate Diaz at a weight limit of 170. McGregor was originally scheduled to face UFC lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos until the Brazilian had to pull out of the event.
Also on the card is Women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm who will be putting her world title on the line for the first time against second-ranked Miesha Tate in the co-main event of UFC196. The undefeated Holm became a household name at UFC® 193 when she knocked out previously unbeaten Ronda Rousey. The former boxing champion looks to keep her perfect record intact when she meets Tate, who is riding a dominant four-fight win streak.
