Opponents for Fiel, Forestal and Mayweather announced

MÉXICO – Mexican opponents for the headline bouts of the international “Young Guns” boxing card to be held on February 26 in Tijuana were announced by Borizteca Promotions.
The card is headed by three solid promises: Adam “Filipino Fury” Fiel a talented fighter of Filipino heritage managed by Nonito Donaire Senior, Marcos Forestal a former Olympian from Cuba and Justin Mayweather Jones, Floyd Mayweather’s brother.
Fiel is facing Alfredo Pitta. Forest will face Jose Pech, while Mayweather Jones, will fight Dario Cervantes
“We are making competitive fights for the fans and fighters,” said Saul Rios, director of Borizteca Promotions. “In cases in which we present talented and undefeated fighters, we balance the bouts by matching them against more experienced boxers. Such is the case of the Filipino Adam Fiel, unbeaten in eight fights.
He will be facing Tijuana Alfredo Pitta, who has an official record of 2-4-1, but who has other fights that were not officially registered. Likewise, Cuba’s Marcos Forestal who is unbeaten in four fights., will be fighting Jose Pech, of Tijuana, who has twice as many ights and is very strong fighter. For Mayweather Jones, who comes with 1-0, we Dario Cervantes de Agua Prieta, Sonora. Who comes with a 0-5 record, but even in defeat some experience is acquired,” said Rios.

Three undefeated Californians have been added to the international event: Jorge “El Bandido” Escalante, of San Diego California, who comes in with a 3-0-1 mark to his third outing at the Salon Mezzanine and his fifth in Mexico. This time he faces Gabriel Ojeda (1-0), of Tijuana in a schedules 4 round fight in the light heavyweight division.
Alex “Frijolito” Vargas (2-0) of National City, will face Manuel Sandoval (0-5), in a fight scheduled for 6 rounds in the lightweight division. Vargas will making his debut in this venue after a win .over Emanuel Ruiz at the Show Palace of Oceanside California in August 2015 and a KO victory over Victor Martinez in Tijuana in March last year.
Meanwhile, Armando Tovar (2-0), San Diego, California, will meet newcomer Alejandro Castaneda, of Rosarito, Baja California, in a 4 round welterweight 4 bout. This Tovar’s third presentation in this venue.
For the Young Guns card there will be a press conference on Friday, February 19, in Chiltepinos Sports Bar in Tijuana Zona Rio.
Tickets for the event are available at the Mezzanine Lounge. Doors open at 7:30 PM and first bell is 8:115 PM.
